The Management Development Initiative (MDI) program is a USAID-funded project sponsored by the President’s Council and the Development Training II project (DT2). Through a variety of training activities, MDI hopes to focus greater attention on Egypt's need for management training and other aspects of human resources development. It provides a unique opportunity for Egyptian business leaders and their managers to master the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for success in the global economy.

• Organizes Global Economy Seminars (GES) bringing the world's foremost experts in leadership, strategy, finance, organization, human resources, marketing and information technology to share keys to business success. GES speakers included luminaries such as Stephen Covey, Daryl Conner and Philip Kotler.
• Sponsors Executive and Manager Workshops to provide opportunities for them to gain the skills they need to bring out the best in their organizations. Workshops topic areas include: Leadership and Management, Strategy, Finance, Markets and Customers, Organization, Human Resources and Process and Technology.
